Badulla, Haliela, and Ella Integrated Water Supply Project, Sri Lanka

First and currently only US EXIM Bank-funded project in Sri Lanka at a total cost of 74 Million USD, 65 Million USD provided by US EXIM Bank. The water treatment plant can treat up to 4 million gallons per day using four high-solids packaged treatment units. Treatment includes conventional pre-sedimentation, sedimentation with tube settlers, clarification in adsorption clarifiers, mixed-media filtration, and disinfection.  Approximately 110,000 Sri Lankans will have access to the new, integrated system and can rely on a steady supply of safe drinking water

China-Sri Lanka Attanagalla Water Supply Plant 

The project was mainly funded By the China Development Bank at a total cost of USD 230 Million. The project involved the construction of a water treatment plant with a daily processing capacity of 54 thousand tons, a water intake facility with a daily capacity of 85 thousand tons, as well as 720 km-long supporting facilities including pipelines. The project is capable of providing water supply services for an area of 398 square kilometers. The project is expected to benefit over 600,000 people.

Greater Kurunegala Water Supply and Sewerage Project

A USD 79.3 Million project financed through Chinese EXIM Bank. The project was completed in August 2018. The completed sewage treatment plant has an average daily processing capacity of 4,500 cubic meters, and the sewage pipeline system covers an area of 10.5 square kilometers, benefiting 35,000 people. The newly-built water plant and the expanded raw water and water supply pipe network have an average daily treatment capacity of 5,000. Cubic meters, covering an area of 28 square kilometers.
